About Lisa Graetz
The first born and a ball of energy from the word go; I was raised in a family with a strong focus on athletics. At five years old I was swinging my first tennis racket and swimming laps with the swim team.
Shortly thereafter I was playing basketball, soccer, softball and completed my first triathlon at age 12.
Sportsmanship, fair play, integrity and the difference between 'right and wrong' was a vein that ran deep in the Graetz family and giving to charity was an integral part of our lives.
My siblings and I watched my father achieve his career goals through hard work, dedication and loyalty to the banks that employed him. It was expected that I step in line, follow his footsteps and go into banking. So off I went to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
I broke my parents’ hearts the day I came home from college and announced excitedly that I had dropped all my business courses and was pursuing a career in Criminal Justice. At that time all they could imagine was a blue collar income and worse; me being injured or killed on the job.
15 years later it became clear that I could help people even more by getting my law degree and becoming an attorney.
I'm a lover of animals; I'm a lover of the elderly.
As a cop I see death with far more regularity than I care to. I see animals once loved, left to fend for themselves or euthanized, once their caretaker has died. I see how the lack of planning for end-of-life (pre-planning estate planning) compounds the grief, confusion, guilt and chaos for those left behind who must pick up the pieces.
Estate planning allows me to blend my compassion, brain power and love of advocacy. It gives me deep satisfaction knowing that I am able to assist others in planning for the inevitable and thereby reducing the unanswered questions and allowing family members to be present with their grief instead of having to figure out what to do, how to do it and where to do it.
This is why I opened my law practice. I love what I do. All of it. I come to you, in your home, where you are most comfortable. You can feel free to ask the questions important to you as I guide you through the process of planning your estate.
To work with you would be my privilege.
